OUR FEMALE ANCESTORS

NuRoots’ NuMoon circles invoke our female ancestors, who gathered together upon the new moon to celebrate the start of the Hebrew month (rosh hodesh). This Collective Escape, we invite our female-identifying community to join us in welcoming the new moon of Nisan and the redemptive themes of Passover. Together, we’ll honor our girl Miriam, Moses’ radical, prophetic sister who ensured his survival and brought about our liberation from slavery. She embraced her newfound freedom and revived her people with joy, dance, and song. What will you do to revive yourself in this season of revolution and renewal?
