Sukkot is all about filling the sukkah with good times and ritualized movement. We shake the lulav and etrog in six directions to draw blessings from different corners of the Earth and redirect them back outward. This Sukkot we’re running with that— drawing artists and creatives from different corners of LA, and directing their blessings and creations into a festival style party! Expect a night full of funky gallery strolling, live performances, snacks, drinks, and a legit dance party!

Did you know, that way back in ancient times, one practice of Sukkot was a wild, rain-evoking Temple ritual celebrated with a joyous, non-stop party involving singing, orchestras (biblical style), dancing, and even some fire-juggling? Well this year, NuRoots in the Valley is going back to their Temple roots to present a magical, melodic Sukkah experience featuring amazing live performances by the Israeli electronic duo Lee Triffon & Roy Regev, cabaret-inspired singers Tova Katz and Marnina Schon, and multi-lingual, singer-songwriter Eitan Snyder.
