Break free / a

communication zoom

workshop

9:30 AM Do you ever feel weighed down by relationships in your life? You’re not alone. Many of us shoulder the feelings and needs of others at the expense of our own health and wellbeing. How can we unchain ourselves while continuing to show up and support someone we love?

Join us for a special Passover-themed workshop that tracks a journey of inter-relational repair from emotional slavery through to emotional liberation. Using Jewish textual sources, interactive components, and intimate breakout discussions, facilitator Rachel Bennish will lead us on a deep dive into modalities that provide a framework for repairing and sustaining lasting, healthy relationships. Rachel draws from the tools of mindfulness and principles and teachings of Non-Violent Communication as taught by Marshall Rosenberg.

Who is Rachel?

Rachel is a comedian, actress, and writer based in the Silverlake neighborhood of LA with a strong personal interest in conflict resolution and mediation. She is dedicated to living, learning, and teaching Nonviolent Communication and believes peace is a ripple effect that begins with ourselves. Rachel is excited to share and teach this heart based method of communication as a way to inspire peace, connection and compassion with the greater community.

Rachel has been leading Compassionate Communication courses, workshops, book readings, and practice groups in the Long Beach area and to the NuRoots community in LA since 2015. She is the co-founder of NVC Long Beach; the local chapter for those interested in learning, practicing, and sharing the principles and teachings of Nonviolent Communication.
