THE WEEK
NuRoots' sixth annual (!) citywide Hanukkah festival starts December 10 with First Night, a joyous and interactive community-wide celebration and candlelighting, then heads through eight nights of virtual parties, Shabbats, volunteering, and gatherings with amazing community organizations—OneTable, Chaya, Trybal Gatherings, Honeymoon Israel, Moishe House, East Side Jews, and J.Q.

FIRST NIGHT
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10
On night one, NuRoots is bringing the community together to celebrate the big light of Hanukkah with a star-studded extravaganza. Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory”), Stephanie Butnick (Tablet's “Unorthodox” podcast), and Jackie Tohn (“GLOW”) will take the virtual stage for comedy, music, and more. Join us to spark the first candle, play some games, and light up your living room.

This year, we’re all about highlighting the miracles in our daily lives: the magic of this community, the blessing of being able to gather together virtually, and our continued ability to feel joy, to love, and to laugh.
THE FOLKS
NuRoots, from L.A.’s Jewish Federation, helps Jewish Angelenos in their twenties and thirties find and build community across Los Angeles. For Infinite Light 2020, our sixth annual citywide Hanukkah festival, we’re collaborating with amazing local organizations and community members to reimagine the holiday with creativity and expansive community making.
